LONDON: My Dream Land
London wasn’t really my dream destination. After I’ve
watched a travel documentary about London, everything has changed; I can’t help
myself but be in love to the city! So from that very moment I’m in love to London.
Being a nature freak that I am, I think this is the perfect
place for me. How do I say so? Simply because of its perfect ambience that will
make a person feel like they are in the ancient period. Me, being always wanted
to go back on medieval period, walking down to this place is only my last chance
to make me feel like I’ve goes back in time where everything has all started. Even
though I haven’t been in London, I knew that once I’ve step on this ground, the
history that I’ve always wanted to be in will come flashing back through my
mind. Their form of monarch government that is still now being used is what
makes everything feels like hundreds of years ago. The placed is still ruled by
the Kings and Queens that really makes the place historic. This place is all
about royals, so full of history and customs.
The place contains a lot of historical buildings and landmarks as follows:
- the Tower of London that will be found in the side of the river thanes, it became a royal palace before then change to a prison, treasury, public record office and 22 executions were done there.
- The Big Ben. It’s one of the most famous names
in the world, up there with the Eiffel Tower and Statue of Liberty.

- Elizabeth tower (the palace of Westminster) is my favorite of all not only because it was the first royal palace but because the castle is really a breathtaking sight and looks romantic together with the Big Ben.

- · the Buckingham palace which is the principal workplace of the monarch of UK and the best palace attractions on England.

- Tower bridge that became as one of the most recognizable bridge and landmark of London.
- · Piccadilly circus, the busy square found in the heart of the city of London which lies in five intersection roads.

·
Harrods is the London famous luxurious
department store since 1894.
But London wasn’t only full of historic landmarks and
buildings. It also has new modern building that makes the London a whole
package attraction. Those are as follows:
·

- London eye which is called as the landmark of new millennium. It was only build on the year 2000 but it became already a very popular attraction. it is an observation wheel that took about 30 minutes for a whole turn that offers the great panoramic view over London.

- The shard, a skyscraper build last 2012 is the highest public viewing gallery in London, almost twice as high as the London Eye, that also offers a 360o views of the city.

- The City Hall that houses the mayor of the city and the London assembly. It attracts people because of the modern design of the building that leans back toward the south to avoid the most daytime sunlight.
Everything about the place is really inspiring. Every time I
think of coming on this place in the future I can’t help but get all excited. There’s
something behind this city that will leads you back in time. I want to
experience the blending of its historic and modern ambiance. Two thousand years
of history. I love the combination of the old and the new. You can find some of
the oldest buildings in the world along with some of the most modern designs. Not
to mention the large green park of the city, the benches there will call you to
relax and feel more even the beauty of London. There really is everything in
London that life can afford. You can have it all.
For me London is a city that can be walked through and
through. you just need a good pair of shoes, a short leather coat, and jeans,
and there you go. The history fascinates me and the fact that I can walk in
those places makes me feel alive.
Everything old is new again; the past is never really past, it is all around you.
Though I was born elsewhere, I think London is the home of
my soul.
